Rising by 20% from 2012 to 2013 and at its highest level since 2007, the latest consolidated revenue for Amrop in the Nordic countries affirms Amrop’s position as a leading executive search partner for corporates in the region.
Ownership changes in Norway and Denmark in 2012 have been followed by the employment of 7 new senior Partners:
- Kristian Kragø (previously McKinsey & Co)
- Anne Syrrist (previously Ringnes and Boston Consulting Group)
- Michael Edler (previously UBS)
- Toumas Sederholm (previously TeliaSonera)
- Pii Kotilainen (previously Outokumpu Group)
- Anne Mette Dissing-Immerkær (previously Odgers & Berndtson)
- Folke Friis-Frederiksen (previously RBS and Carnegie)
All have joined as executive search partners in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. Henrik Elsig Andersen (previously Cubiks) has joined Amrop in Copenhagen as Head of Advisory Services.
Going forward, this reinforcement is expected to have further substantial impact on the positioning of Amrop in the Nordic countries in the future.
Amrop global Chairman Ulrich Dade commented, “The Nordic countries have always been an important part of Amrop globally, and the new team will further strengthen our position as one of the most significant executive search firms in the region – based on strong collaboration and shared vision. Despite relatively modest growth in GDP and a highly competitive environment in the Nordics, the Amrop team has secured a strong revenue increase from 2012 to 2013.
A contributing factor to revenue growth has been the company’s strengthened profile towards specialization and reinforced focus on human capital advisory services. This includes executive team development, leadership assessment, board evaluation, succession planning and C-suite talent management. Henrik Elsig Andersen, Head of Advisory Services, elaborates: “Amrop believes in a competence- and fact-based approach to executive search, taking the full strategic context of hiring organizations into account. In-depth leadership assessment is an integrated part of that. Amrop believes that today’s rapidly changing environment heightens the need to objectively understand not only the commercial, functional, and strategic competencies of leading executives but also their capacity, personality and social skills to ensure a successful and sustainable match. Both clients and candidates increasingly appreciate the need for such insight - at all levels.”
